Huge thanks to Melissa McGath, owner of Voom Creative, for creating a logo that embodies EM Dash. I met Melissa when she volunteered with the local Legal Marketing Association group in Minnesota and really enjoyed working with her. I was NOT disappointed when she came up with the new EM Dash logo.
The Hummingbird
Inspired by a billboard she saw in Mexico, Melissa thought the hummingbird is a great representation of EM Dash and the person behind it:
Hummingbirds are fierce fighters and defenders of their territory. They symbolize intelligence, beauty, devotion, love, luck, good intentions, healing, help, and renewal. To some, sighting a hummingbird signals that challenging times are over and healing can begin.
The hummingbird is also fast, which ties into how we use technology to streamline marketing and workflows.
The Color Palette
EM Dash is a diverse-owned business, and I wanted to use the color palette to showcase my Mexican heritage. Bold, bright, vibrant colors with purple as the primary (favorite color!).
